Now federal government buildings, this is the former home of Ottawa City Hall. It sits on Green Island which splits the Rideau River into two streams just at the Rideau Falls. Consequently the Rideau Falls are divided into two sets of falls. This is the point at which the Rideau River enters the Ottawa River.
